Local Business donates Yarn and Knitting Needles

Baadeck Yarns, (www.baadeckyarns.com), of Baddeck, Nova Scotia, generously donated yarn and knitting needles to A Partnership In Caring Society.
The supples were delivered to the Tubahumurize Association( www.rwandanwomencan.org) in Kigali , Rwanda by Maria van Vonderen and Carolyn Rideout, members of APICS.
Tubahumurize was formed specifically to address gender issues of female victims of violence. They provide counselling and education through skills training. The women make beautiful crafts. Maria provided some quick knitting lessons on how to make dishcloths and the pink scarf that Jeanne is wearing. Jeanne is the director of the association. The women are very grateful for this very generous donation from Baadeck yarns.
